What do you think? Habitating Red planet Mars for riches is important or, stabilizing our home planet Earth for all of us, is the only important job for all of us? Do we take birth to beautify our own world or, working together for the world of every single person, current, budding & upcoming all generations to save our own home? Can we save our own home without saving our home planet ? An initiative to make mother earth a beautiful home for all of us together. One World, One Family -2040.
Putting the throttle and accelerating the bike is not the skill needed to ride a bike. Skills not only save you on the road and from the major mishaps, it also gives you a lot of confidence when you are riding the bike and you don't lose the confidence and patience in the rare situations of discomfort on the roads.
Tips for ABS enabled bikes to save life, to save bike, to save money and to save wearing out of brake parts that happens too early.
How to Apply breaks in all ABS-enabled Bike safely-
Stage -I: Put three small breaks to break the speed by 50% with rear break,
Stage-II: Now, repeat the same from the front break again three times to break the speed by 70%,
Stage-III: Now, jump to place the gear to Gear-I (why- Gear-I is comparatively bigger than the rest of the gears that will automatically need more power to be in speed. Hence, it helps in breaking the speed by itself too)
Stage-IV: Now, put the breaks starting from rear break going to front break to stop the bike finally.
Also, try this:
Place the gear to first from top gear and then release the clutch slowly, it helps minimising the speed upto a great extent without even applying break. Then now use both breaks to give a full stop.
All these steps have to be executed in microseconds to seconds only. Now, you can imagine how much practice and patience you need to learn and practice this to master applying breaks properly.
Practice will give you efficiency and mastery in applying breaks.
My Story for my V-Strom 250 SX at the Suzuki Service centre in Bangalore:
I got my front brake pads in just 4500 Km only. It had started to make noise that helped me identify and get it replaced. Post second service only, I had to get it replaced.(pics below).
Speculated myth or, a reality:
It might be that the service boys change the brake pads with the old and torn one at the time of every services so that we, riders can go by ourselves and buy one from them sooner or, later (A smart marketing practice to sell the parts). Who knows whether they do it or, not?
Many a time we we have to buy many parts just after the services only and not at the time of services where they notify it themselves. It can be a dark sales method where you are kept unaware about it.
This practice is vehemently done by laptop repairers, mobile repairers, and mostly every technician does so in almost all the fields where products are not visible to customers. Obviously, they can't force you to buy something. So, this is the best practice to drag you yourself to them and then you end up saying- Okay,! I am seeing such issues. I just got the service last week only. Then they check and find it's no more in working condition. Soon, we say ourselves, Please replace it. How much will it cost? What if I don't replace now.(then they reply with some scary answers to scare you and the you take your card out to buy the same instantly from them only).
We Customers, if don't leave the worn-out items/parts with the service centre, it can help reducing such malpractices by them. Once, the product is removed, take it with you and dump it somewhere else rather leaving it with them. So, self protective measures can be taken by us. Let's do it next time.
